5 EX-VOLUNTEERS and 5 COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
FOR A RESEARCH TRAINIG


Restless Development is the leading global youth-led development agency. We have been in Tanzania since 1993, delivering rights-based youth development initiatives in rural and urban communities through peer-to-peer education led by national and community volunteer peer educators placing young people at the forefront of change and development. We have established an impressive track record cited as best practice by the World Bank, and UNICEF.

... Today, we work in sexual and reproductive health and rights, livelihoods and employment, and civic participation across the Southern Highlands and excluded areas of Dar Es Salaam and Dodoma. Independent evaluations of our work have shown statistically significant increases in young people’s knowledge, confidence and skills across our goal areas.

We are launching a new four year strategy which will increase our work in advocacy, research, youth sector capacity building and for creating a critical mass of young people committed to positive development in Tanzania.

Restless Development is looking for 5 dedicated Ex-volunteers who are interested in a Research training that will be facilitated by the Progrmme Quality unit in February 2012 the specific dates will be communicated to you later.

The training will be a certified course which seeks to increase young people’s capacities to undertake and support researches by individuals, organizations and institutions to contribute to evidence base in Tanzania, an area that Restless Development-Tanzania is keen to contribute to within the new National Strategic Framework.

For those that are interested please send your letter of interest (stating why you are motivated to attend the training; what you will use the knowledge gained for; and how the training responds to your career development interests as a young person) to Ken Oulu (kennedy@restlessdevelopment.org )

Please Note: Your letter of interest should not be less than 300 words and not more than 400 words (essentially, it should not exceed one A4 page, font 12).

Hi people, the research training application deadline has been extended to 16th Dec 2011. This means that you have upto friday on the date mentioned above. The Training will be in February 2012 either in Iringa or Dar whichever will be cost effective.
